If you are like me and are super enthusiastic and creative, sometimes it can be hard to narrow down those ideas and focus.
What does mentoring an enthusiastic person look like? Because you do not want to dull their spark. For the person who is enthusiastic, here are my own personal tips. Are you ready?
My Top Tips:
If you are like me and are buzzing with ideas, sometimes it is hard to focus on the task at hand. But get yourself a notebook so you can write down all your fantastic ideas.

When you find the mental space to contemplate what you can achieve, revisit and recall your written thoughts. Personally, I often generate ideas right before sleep, so consider keeping your notes by your bedside.
As creatives, we relish problem-solving. However, I've learned during recent months of being unwell that whether you can creatively address a situation or it's beyond your control is a question. Sometimes, we can't always fix things, and we must be okay with that.
How to coach and mentor someone who is enthusiastic:
When coaching or mentoring someone with great enthusiasm, avoid extinguishing their spark. Doing so may cause them to stop trusting and sharing ideas. Provide creative space, perhaps during a one-on-one session.
Allow them to express their ideas and thoughts in a secure environment. Guide them not to worry about things beyond their control. Being creative often involves a love for problem-solving, but reassure them about focusing on what they can influence. By expressing ideas, you're granting permission and establishing boundaries.
Enthusiastic people are great to have in a team where there might be low morale or if you are in a church setting enthusiastic people bring that fire 🔥
