"The kitchen is the heart of the home."

I love to host and cook for my friends and family one of my all time favourites to cook is a butternut squash chickpea curry. When I first moved into the flat I thought it would be bearable to use the kitchen

and just fix a few things but oh boy was I wrong.

My plan was to change the sink and worktop as a temporary measure as I noticed a leak coming from the tap but what I didn't realise was the state it was in under the sink this had to get fixed and it also made my decision to get a whole new kitchen.

Let the renovation begin!

The whole family came to help rip out the kitchen what was interesting to find how they just used a very strong glue that was just holding the cupboards up on the walls. There was a lot of conversations about how to save money in this transformation but we had to gut everything. The only appliances that stayed was the cooker, washing machine and boiler. It was more or less to try and get a reasonable priced kitchen and the new appliances such as a new extractor fan, gas hob, fire alarms which didn't look like they had been changed since 2014! I had professionals to come in and installed the kitchen and I am pleased with the result!
