Unity:

Fostering unity within your church is crucial, with individuals feeling welcomed and unified as the cornerstone of building a healthy community.

To achieve church unity, it's essential to establish a culture where people feel loved and valued, irrespective of their walks of life. Ensuring that everyone is seen and heard, not merely blending in, is key.

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.”
‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV‬

Vision:

Articulating the vision is an effective approach, recognizing variations across communities while sharing the common goal of fulfilling the Great Commission by bringing people to Jesus.

The ‘Church’ and how it serves:

The church serves as a community to support one another, especially for those who have been hurt by the Church, providing a space for restoration in both faith and relationships. It allows individuals facing challenges to have personal time with God during services and build connections with pastors and leaders for support. But also it is a chance to get discipled by the message, or by the church leaders in a 121 or small group setting.

Self care:

Balancing self-care needs and reaching out to others is crucial. The church should be a comfortable place where people willingly serve, contributing to the smooth running of services without feeling undue pressure, ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone.

Challenge for ourselves:

We must rally our support behind our pastors and key leaders! I've experienced situations where people create a negative atmosphere about the pastor's vision for the church, yet ultimately, they are the ones accountable to God. Let’s refrain from criticizing their efforts and instead, let’s get on board and support them.

Refocus:

Focus on our own calling and what God has told us to do, being obedient. We are responsible for our own lives.
