Model your faith through Christ

I was praying as I woke up, and a revelation hit me! We need to model our faith after Jesus Christ, not just by observing what other Christians do 🤯. Yes, it may sound obvious, but often, we tend to base our faith on church leaders or Christian friends.
The reality is, we should read the Bible and gain knowledge from there. I believe this is crucial because, as Christians, we are continually learning and maturing in our faith. We need a baseline for what our faith should represent, and the true model comes from reading the Bible and following the Holy Spirit.
However, this approach can lead to criticism of church leaders, as we sometimes place them on a higher level of responsibility and importance. It's essential to remember that everyone is human, and testing what is said through the Bible, as suggested in Matthew 7:15, is a good practice:
True and False Prophet
"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves."
Matthew 7:15
This got me thinking about a Bible verse to lean on for ourselves and how we can seek good practice for our faith.
“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”
Ephesians 5:1-2 NKJV
It is critical that our foundation is built on Jesus. Placing too much hope in people can sometimes lead to disappointment, shaking our faith. Instead, let's have grace for those who are still on their journey of faith.
“For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
Hebrews 5:12-14
