If Jesus asked you to give up everything—your house, your career, and your dreams—would you be able to?

Back in 2015, when I graduated from university, I really wanted to move to America. I desired to go to either New York or Los Angeles, but God chose a different path: a leadership course with my previous church in Hereford. I had to lay down my desires and dreams to follow what God called me to do, and sometimes, this is really hard and sacrificial.

Over the course of 2016, I had the opportunity to go to LA with 'There is Something More,' based in Bristol. This was an amazing opportunity, and I thought that God was answering my dream of going to Los Angeles again. The following year in 2017, I had the opportunity to go to New York with 'Models for Christ,' which was such an amazing experience. Sometimes I feel that God gives us snippets of our dreams, but other times, he wants us to be obedient to what he is calling us to do in the meantime. It can be super hard because I know it can be a sense of grieving over a dream that has lasted for years. I have been very unwell to the point where I cannot fly long distances, and this has really put a hold on going back to America, but I know God has worked things for good and has set me up with a more open approach and a ready heart for what he has called me to do.

It is important that we don't hold tight to the things that God has given us but are willing to let them go when he asks us to. What ever God has called us to do he would always provide for us and he wants us to lead a full life whatever our capacity can carry.

Matthew 6:31-34
31 Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 “Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
